Denada Jackson’s background is largely invested in the public relations profession. She is most known for her ability to reach the media and develop compelling stories in local and national news. Jackson’s clients have been seen on or in CNN, EBONY Magazine, Forbes Online, PEOPLE Magazine, The Source as well as ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS affiliates across the nation. Jackson has handled public relations in corporate, education, fashion/entertainment and government industries. She believes the personal touch is an important factor in client satisfaction and tries to implement a hands-on approach to each client she encounters.
She runs Bella Boca, a boutique public relations firm, in her hometown of Charlotte, NC. The firm’s aim is for each client to, BE Heard! Through media strategies, branding, signature initiatives this goal is accomplished to help brands increase their bottom line and engage new and old customers. Jackson was given the 2017 Women In Business Award from the Charlotte Business Journal for leadership and achievement in her career and in the community.
In a previous position, Jackson provided expertise in the areas of events planning and communications strategy at B&C Associates, Inc., a 54 year-old public relations firm. She assists in the development and execution of signature programs, public relations initiatives and strategic philanthropy. Nissan North America, Rooms To Go, Freddie Mac and the American Red Cross were Denada’s accounts.
Denada loves to read, attend concerts, travel and spend time with her family and friends. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and believes in the power of community service. The former cheerleader and coach has a passion for the education and the empowerment of youth. This is why she decided to sit on the board for Carolina Panther Thomas Davis’ Defending Dreams Foundation. She also adores her son, an over grown miniature schnauzer, Athens.
Burgeoning public relations specialist, Ashley Hunt, is a media maven from Charlotte, North Carolina. Born with the gift of communication, Ashley has developed a robust portfolio that features experience in event coordination for NEXXA Transportation, media relations for Charlotte City Councilman James 'Smuggie' Mitchell, social media strategy for Freedom House Church and more.
Her passion for fashion landed Ashley her first public relations internship with New York designer, Lore Emelio during her tenure at Winston-Salem State University; she now manages her own consultation projects full-time, while advancing her career as a Creative Communications Manager for the queen city -based public relations firm, Bella Boca.
Hunt keeps her client’s social profiles vibrant and creates unique branding opportunities for each of them to shine in the community and their respective industries. She has transformed the social media presence of clients like Zoe Nails at Ayrsley and Me3 Project by increasing followers and creating engagement on their profiles through personalized content.
Most recently, she co-founded the organization QUEENS in the City in 2016 and helped author their first interactive-motivational guidebook, The Definition of Being B.O.S.S (Built On Self Success).
April Albritton has spent over twelve years in the development fundraising community. Beginning her career in collegiate athletics, April was able to work with annual funds of one million dollars or more and close major gifts over the $50,000 mark.
April has had the privilege of fundraising for universities such as College of Charleston, Stony Brook, and the University of Washington. In the private nonprofit sector she has been blessed to work with organizations like Dream on 3 and Thomas Davis’ Defending Dreams Foundation.
Along with working in nonprofits April has experience developing annual, funds, grant writing and sponsorship sales. As a 2005 graduate of University of North Carolina Greensboro she rocks her blue and gold in Spartan Pride!
